Full scale web design projects

We provided the clients in this section with a full range of services including both ecommerce and brochure website development, copywriting, search engine and directory submission and custom scripting.

Ecommerce site example

This is an online store for which we developed a full scale ecommerce site using the popular Miva Merchant shopping cart.  We carefully integrated the cart with the store's existing site to maintain the look and feel the site's owner was looking for.  We were responsible for all of the site's design elements and the site's copy.  We currently maintain this site's product database, and provide search engine optimization services to this client.

Ecommerce site example

This high end automotive parts supplier needed an ecommerce system that would accommodate an ever growing product base but without the "canned" look of many online shopping carts. We developed an easy to navigate site using the Miva Merchant shopping cart. In the process, we refined the site's aesthetic, and provided guidance into the world of ecommerce.

Content Management System example

This podcasting consultant wanted a site she could maintain herself without any knowledge of html or css. She also wanted a platform that would grow with the technical needs of her business. We installed and configured the Joomla! content management system, created a custom template for her site, and provided instruction for using the backend administration system.

We created this custom design for a management company wanting a fresh, yet classy design for its brochure style site. We were responsible for the site design, and assisted the owner extensively with website copywriting.

This same coach also wanted to revamp the brochure site she uses to advertise upcoming seminars. We created a design in a complementary color scheme to the retreat site, but with a slightly more formal and sophisticated layout. We were responsible for all of the site's design elements.

Social networking example

This website is a social networking site for jazz and classical musicians, built using a popular social networking platform. We created a custom template, and are currently building the site's content and features. We were responsible for all of the site's design elements, the configuration of the underlying application, and some custom php scripting to ensure the site owner had all the features she wanted for her site.

Back-End Development Projects

In addition to providing full scale website design services, Tiny Queen Designs also provides back-end support to other web designers. The sites pictured below were created by talented web designers who just needed a little technical assistance for some specialized projects.

Ecommerce site example

This custom drapery website wanted some assistance with back end coding of its new Miva Merchant 5 store. We provided extensive custom coding services, along with module integration.

Ecommerce site example

This business owner wanted a restricted access area to advertise wholesale pricing of his products. We wrote a custom php application that allows him to maintain the wholesale customer list, and easily update product pricing.

Ecommerce site example

This online pet supply store wanted a custom popup script that would allow customers to email them if they had seen a product priced lower elsewhere. We created a simple form, customized it to match the site's design, and wrote a script to process the form submission and email the results to the site owner. The form is auto-populated with the product's name, leaving the customer with less information to have to fill out.

Ecommerce site example

This same online store also wanted to be able to provide customers with an enlarged view of products, to enable them to better evaluate their purchases. We created a popup window that auto-populates with the product name, code and image, and that is customized to integrate with the site's design. If customers forget to close the window before moving on to another product, the window is designed to return to the screen forefront if another Enlarge Image link is clicked.

Ecommerce site example

This winery was behind on the launch of its online store because of complications in configuring the layout of the shopping cart. We used our knowledge of the Miva Merchant shopping cart to customize the product display and integrate it with the existing site design, install and configure an automatic discount coupon for wine club members, and assist the designer in configuring the checkout pages.

Business site example

The owner of this site requested a dynamic javascript navigation menu. Javascript, however, is not the best choice for navigation: it is not accessible or search engine friendly, and won't function on browsers with javascript turned off. Instead, we used our knowledge of css to create a dynamic menu that includes the exact rollover color change and dropdown effect the client was hoping to create with javascript. The result is a clean, functional navigation system that is accessible, search engine friendly, and works even on browsers where javascript has been disabled.

Software download site example

This software sales site had been using a mail-in form to sell the license keys for their software. They came to us looking for a method to automate and streamline the payment collection process, and enable their customers to purchase their license keys online. We constructed an easy-to-use product selection form and integrated it with a shopping cart service to ensure secure collection of customer information.

Business site example

This environmental consulting company was looking for a method to enable online registration for their training programs. We adapted their existing form to integrate it seamlessly with a shopping cart platform that allows them to securely and easily collect payment and registration information.
